Big Brother star slammed fo suggesting Princess Kate’s a smoker over her appearance

GOOD Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has been slammed for cruelly suggesting Princess Kate is a smoker because of how she looked.

The Princess of Wales, 42, watched on from a balcony over the Cenotaph in central London on Remembrance Sunday.

It was her second appearance at a Remembrance event in as many days as she returned to work after finishing her cancer treatment.

Standing on the balcony for around half an hour, she was supported by Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who was beside her in Queen Camilla’s absence due to illness.

But after Kate’s appearance at the ceremony, TV personality Narinder tweeted about how she has “aged so much”.

The 51-year-old, who has appeared on GB News and Loose Women, wrote: “Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much?

“Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation.”

Narinder faced a wave of backlash on X with users describing her comments as “dreadful” and “disgusting”.

She later shared a tweet in response to the criticism which has now been deleted.

The former Big Brother housemate admitted the remark she made was “stupid” and “insensitive”.

She penned: “I put out a tweet earlier. A genuine ask about why Kate Middleton had aged so much.

“It was genuinely – an ask. I thought she was perhaps a smoker. It was, on reflection, a stupid, insensitive tweet.

“More so because someone who lost her brother to cancer should have known better.”

Narinder then posted a video admitting the tweet was “stupid”.

She said: “I thought I’d do a quick video instead of tweet after tweet, because it becomes pretty ridiculous – as if it wasn’t ridiculous enough already.

“I put out a stupid tweet. That wasn’t my intention, my intention was not to be malicious or nasty or anything.

“I’m not like that, anybody who knows me. It was stupid to ask about the ageing.

“I’ve admitted that, I’ve put my hands up and apologised if it caused offence.

“The only people who were offended though, because many people on Twitter and social media have asked exactly what I’ve asked but did not receive the sexual, racial, violent abuse that I did from accounts with EDL flags, Union Jacks, disgusting abuse.”

She added that her brother went through “brutal treatment of chemo”.

But she accused Kate of having “a lot of privilege” for not needing to work while she received cancer treatment.

Narinder also claimed many of the critical comments that she received were about Meghan Markle.

She questioned: “What’s Meghan got to do with it?

Narinder then continued her rant alleging she was the victim of “racial abuse”.

She said: “You exposed your narrative. You exposed that what this was all about was I as a brown woman, an Indian, had the gall to criticise Kate’s appearance.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m not leaving the country. I’m gonna continue.

“You can keep cancelling me as much as you like, but you will not silence my voice just because I’m a brown woman, and it is that, and you will never convince me otherwise.”

In January Kate spent 13 nights at The London Clinic for abdominal surgery.

Subsequent tests found cancer and she began preventative chemotherapy treatment in late February.

In September she told the world in a family video that she had finished chemo.

Narinder was one of the earliest Big Brother participants coming on in Season Two to cause a ruckus.

The feisty housemate was at the centre of many rows in the house.

She was the third person to be kicked off the show on day 29 when she lost the public vote.

Since then she went on to write Big Brother: The Inside story, an uncensored account of what it’s like to be on the British reality TV show
