Croydon hospital on lockdown as woman ‘swallows poison’ and police need medical treatment
Parts of a hospital have been sealed off after reports a woman ingested poison.
A section of the Croydon University Hospital – formerly the Mayday – has been locked down in the incident. Two Metroplitan Police officers meanwhile have also reportedly been hospitalised after exposure to the undisclosed subtance, the force has said.
Both police and fire services were called to the hospital on Thursday morning.
